The UC Global Scholarship

A  University of Cincinnati scholarship award for international students

The UC Global Scholarship awards up to $7,000 per year to qualifying students. It is renewable for the duration of a bachelor’s degree program (up to 12 quarters of study or 216 quarter hours) providing the student maintains a 3.2 cumulative grade point average and completes the annual 30-hour volunteer service requirement.

Three types of students can be considered for the UC Global Scholarship:

  • International students completing their high school studies at a US or foreign high school.
  • International students entering UC directly from a foreign university.
  • Permanent residents and US citizens entering the university directly from a foreign high school  or university.

International students studying in US high schools may also be eligible for the Cincinnatus Scholarship Competition. The UC Global Scholarship cannot be combined with the Cincinnatus Scholarship Competition.

Transfer students must submit a course-by-course credit evaluation of all foreign university coursework. The evaluation must be completed by a member organization of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES), such was World Education Services (www.wes.org). The course-by-course evaluation MUST be submitted directly from the credential evaluation organization to UC. Transfer students with the equivalent of a 3.25 cumulative university GPA (based on the 4.0 scale) are eligible for the UC Global Scholarship.

The University of Cincinnati admission application serves as the application for this scholarship. All complete applications submitted by published application deadlines will be considered for the UC Global Scholarship. For a list of all materials required, read the International Application Checklist or contact the Official Representative in your country. Applicants should be aware that some programs may have earlier application deadlines, limited capacity or other limitations on admission.
