Credit Evaluation

UC makes offers of admission to transfer students based on the GPA(s) on their college transcript(s). Then, a two-phase credit evaluation process takes place.

  1. The Credit Evaluation Center in the Office of Admissions matches transfer course credits to equivalent courses at UC.
  2. The college which offers the student's major determines how credits apply to the major.

For many courses, a credit equivalency decision is fairly quick. Many common general education courses such as English, math and language courses owever, we ask that students be patient through this process as there are thousands of courses
