BLINK transforms Cincinnati into a massive canvas of light, art, and creativity. The coolest part? Some of the people making it happen are UC students.
They aren't waiting for graduation to get real experience. They're creating, designing, building, programming, performing, and problem-solving.
This could be your story, too.
At UC, experiential learning isn't something you save for after graduation. It's happening right now. Meet the Bearcats turning their ideas into something real.
JACOB KAPLAN
Major: Lighting Design & Technology | CCM
For Jacob, BLINK isn't just a cool project. It's his senior capstone. He's leading the lighting design for Echoes of Light, a BLINK installation illuminating Cincinnati's massive Elm Street Plaza mural. He and the UC team are bringing together their passions for music, theater, and lighting design to create something thousands of people will experience. Jacob collaborated with fellow students Lia Lubinsky, assistant designer; Lucy Dunn, assistant designer; and Jack Walter, programmer; to bring their BLINK installation to life.
His classroom? Cincinnati.
His project? BLINK.
His future? Just getting started.
