For High School Partners
College Credit Plus
The University of Cincinnati uses the default funding structure for payment. The College Credit Plus program default funding structure is established by Ohio Revised Code 3365.07. The CCP default amounts are based on the Per Pupil Foundation rate that is determined by Ohio's General Assembly and may change annually.
Schools/districts will sign an MOU which outlines the provisions and guidelines of the CCP program at UC Uptown (sample PDF of our MOU)
The CCP application process requires a good deal of cooperation between the school counselor/CCP coordinator and the student. See all application requirements and deadlines.
Access UC's CCP Information Session for Counselors, recorded November 29, 2022 HERE.
School counselors and CCP coordinators also coordinate College Credit Plus information sessions for students and families as required by the state. The state mandates that information sessions take place between October 1 and February 15 each school year.
To request a CCP staff member for your CCP information session, please complete our Information Session Request Form. We will then confirm with you our availability on your selected date.
We also work closely with school counseling staff and CCP coordinators throughout the year to assist with the registration process as well as enrollment verification and submission of final grades for CCP coursework attempted.
General
High school students' transcripts must be sent electronically from the their school counselor directly to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, using Parchment. Counselors may also use the Slate counselor portal to upload materials on behalf of individual students and to check a student's application status. To request access, go to slate.org and click "Counselors Join Here."
Homeschool students may email their transcripts to ccp@uc.edu.
School counselors are encouraged to submit the CCP and Dual Enrollment Student Recommendation form if you wish us to consider or reconsider admission to our program. If a student does not yet have a final grade in High School level English and Math but will at the end of the school year, please complete this form.
The purpose of this form is to give Counselors the opportunity to submit a recommendation for students
- Who have not yet met admissions requirements of final grade of B or better in BOTH high school level English AND Math or
- Who were previously denied.
This form is NOT required for every student and should only be submitted by Counselors who are recommending a student under special circumstances.
